Quality Management and technical monitoring at the REHVA Brussels Summit Conference

On Tuesday 13 November QUANTUM project coordinator Stefan Plesser gave a brilliant presentation to the audience of the REHVA Brussels Summit Conference.

Dr. Plesser shared his vision of the role of quality management in technical monitoring and how this quality control can by digitalized. Indeed, with the building technical systems becoming more and more complex and the regulatory framework continuously evolving, building professionals need support in the correct management of the overall construction process in order to meet owners projects requirements. The solution proposed by QUANTUM is a digitalized technical monitoring process to engineer, analyse and supervise the technical building systems.

The German AMEV Technical Monitoring Guidelines (available in English on QUANTUM website) are a good example of established procedure for carrying up these tasks and a forthcoming (May 2019) REHVA-QUANTUM guidebook will further clarify the role of Technical Monitoring and Building Commissioning from the investors’ perspective.

 

In the same session, DG Energy Policy Officer Pau Garcia-Audi presented the position of the European Commission on the role of inspections of technical building systems.
